A couple of weeks ago my cousin Janelle came over and we both resolved to actually finish some things &#8211; my goal was to make five pairs of earrings. Since then, I&#39;ve been building up stock and creating different earrings for the mythical launch of my Etsy shop. (Someday, someday&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p>Each day this week (partially to get back into writing regular entries), I will post a pair of earrings that I have made recently.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>First up, the prototype pair for the Supernova collection:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/melissaruth.com\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/DSC04275.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1195\" height=\"450\" src=\"http:\/\/melissaruth.com\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/DSC04275.jpg\" title=\"DSC04275\" width=\"600\" srcset=\"http:\/\/melissaruth.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/DSC04275.jpg 600w, http:\/\/melissaruth.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/DSC04275-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/melissaruth.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/DSC04275-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div>These elegant earrings are made of large kidney loops and sparkly acrylic beads. They are very light weight and catch the light very well! I have been pretty impressed with the quality of acrylic\/lucite\/plastic beads these days (technology has marched on from 1991, I guess) and have been amassing a nice collection of these types of beads.
