I Shake Through the Wreckage For Signs Of Life

Simple Scripts on BlueHost (my hosting company) has allowed me to upgrade to the newest version of WordPress with ONE EASY CLICK.

*weeps in joy*

I think this is the first time I’ve upgraded WordPress without totally borking up the process.

HEY THE INTERNET! HI!

So, I haven’t updated in awhile. I update Twitter all the time though. You should get on Twitter.

I went to Las Vegas!

Las Vegas 2009

I went on vacation the last week of July and traveled to Las Vegas, and visited with the sister in Burlingame, and applied for a passport. I also was supposed to get uber internets installed but that didn’t happen until yesterday. So now I have uber internets and am using a regular computer and not my wee eee pc. Which btw, I took to Las Vegas but you had to pay $15 a day to access their wireless. Um, noooo?

Anyway, so I have just been busy and now I’m dead tired, and I’m between projects, so I don’t have much to share, except this final, classy picture from Las Vegas:

Needless to say, those drinks made us sick.

Scotch Tape and Spit

Just a quick update – I used the power of widgets to revamp my blog template.  If you subscribe with a feeder, you wouldn’t have noticed, but I was able to add Twitter updates, archive pages, categories, etc., to the sidebar. Also, the image at the top of the page is now random, and is different every time you load the page.  Very cool! I like the changes – and if you use WordPress, I would highly recommend checking out the widgets, though be careful if you use K2 as your template; you’ll have to deactivate some K2 features in order to fully use the widgets.

Now: shower, and LOST SEASON FINALE, which I had totally forgotten about.

Tomorrow: work, pack, dye hair (maybe).

Saturday: TEXAS!

PHP makes a girl cry.

Whoa, Nellie, just upgraded to WordPress 2.5. PHP is just… so… confusing. Since I have K2 installed as my template/design, it just fucked everything right up!

…All I am trying to do is get WordPress to email me my comments so I can email people back! I generally reply in the comments section but not everybody goes back to check those (I know I don’t).

Waah. I have no idea if the comments will be emailed to me (they never have been!). So know that I love comments and that I reply in the comments to your comments! I just said comments way too many times.

Now that I have broken my blog (again) and fixed it (again), I am going to eat lunch.

(Never mess with PHP on an empty stomach!!)

EDIT: Upgrading magically made the comments get emailed to me. SO, I think I can safely chalk that up to A) upgrading and B) switching hosts in February because the old database sucked. (THERE I SAID IT: SUCKED.)
