PR on Lifetime?

Tim Gunn Doesn’t Know What Is Going On

Have you heard? Project Runway is moving to Lifetime.

I feel like I am being punk’d, except that April Fools was last week.

It seems a weird move, from Bravo to Lifetime (especially given Bravo’s gay-friendly network, not that Lifetime is unfriendly) but then you have to realize that PR is produced by the Weinstein Company, and let’s face it, the Weinsteins are a couple of asshats.

Crazy.

On the other hand, maybe three seasons of PR this year! I wouldn’t object to that, no way.

  1. Oh, but think of the possibilities. “Your client has just been stalked by her obsessive-compulsive ex-crack addict of a babydaddy. She is going through a transitional period as she cares for both parents and step-parents AND completes her masters degree while balancing two jobs and fighting an incurable disease. Design a fresh outfit that will make her feel good about herself. You have a budget of $25 and must be finished in the next day. Also, you won’t be able to meet your client, just receive her measurements.” That might be some dramatic footage!

  2. I was a bit shocked too. It seems that Bravo was pretty peeved too, as there was a rumor that the Weinsteins made a deal while still talking to Bravo.
